The Northeast Diocese’s seminary program is four years long, but new students can join anytime. See Schedule below for details.
(Courses typically are not scheduled for July and August).
Continuing Education:
A continuing education option will be required by ALL clergy unless opted out by the permission of the Bishop.

This course provides a comprehensive survey of the New Testament, examining its historical background,
cultural context, theological themes, authorship, and practical application for ministry. Students will explore the
formation of the New Testament canon, the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, the growth of the early Church,
the writings of John, and the epistles of Paul, Peter, James, Jude, and Hebrews.
Special attention will be given to communicating biblical truth effectively in teaching, preaching, and pastoral
ministry through written assignments designed to address real-life questions from parishioners

Application
Core courses will be held on a Saturday, once a month, from 9am to 4:30pm for 4 consecutive months. There will be some traveling involved and Zoom classes will only be available if distance is an authorized hardship. Those permitted to attend classes via Zoom and are within a reasonable distance of other seminarians doing the same, will be required to participate together at adesignated place.
Laity may participate in the seminary classes by:
Submitting a separate application with the $25 application fee (More details to Follow)
Successfully passing a basic Bible Knowledge Test of the Old and New Testaments
And all associated course fees paid (More details to follow)
