Lord,
I know that it’s not always easy to forget the hurt that others have caused. But you don’t call me to forget. You call me to forgive. At times, that’s the hardest thing to do. But holding onto the pain only gives life to a new way of suffering and robs me of my new life in Christ.
Please help me to let go of any animosity or bitterness that I carry towards those who hurt me. Help me to forgive them, just as You have forgiven me. Please show me the freedom that comes with forgiveness. And bring healing to my hurting heart.

Teach Me to Forgive
Father,
Your word says that I should be an imitator of Christ. One way you can call me to reflect Jesus is through the forgiveness He extends to people. I admit that forgiving doesn’t always come easy.
Sometimes I hold onto hurt, thinking that others don’t deserve my forgiveness. But the truth is, we don’t deserve Your forgiveness, yet, even in our sinful state, You loved us. Please teach me to forgive as You forgive. Help me to love as You love, and to show grace, not because others deserve it, but because You have been gracious to me.

Help me forgive those who hurt me
I am having a hard time forgiving those who have hurt me deeply. It feels easier to close myself off and protect myself from going through such pain and disappointment again. But I know that is not how You call me to live. Please help me to show grace to the people who have hurt me.
Let Your love and forgiveness toward me flow over into my relationship with them. Heal me from those hurts and help me to find peace in Your presence.

I cannot forgive
Merciful God, my heart is struggling to forgive the person who hurt me. It feels like I am letting them off the hook if I forgive them. It’s as though justice will never be served. But You have said vengeance is Yours, not mine to take upon myself.
Lord, Your word tells me to forgive others as You have forgiven me, but I can’t seem to forgive them fully. I am struggling to move forward from this pain. Please change my heart, Lord. Help me to trust Your way and to live free from bitterness.

Prayer For Relief from Anxiety

I’m in a place where I feel so confused. It’s as if I have to compromise who I am or my values to be liked by those around me. I know I should not let myself be so easily influenced. Dear Father,
I know that I can’t do life on my own and that friendships are valuable, but building solid friendships can be challenging. Sometimes I feel misunderstood. At other times, I feel discouraged, as if there is no use in trying. You know my desire for true friends.
I pray that You would bring friends into my life who will build me up and whom I can run with on this life journey. Lord, help me show eagerness to engage with them, be myself, and allow them that same gift. But most of all, let those friendships challenge, encourage, and draw us closer to You.
